Our desire to make tamales came from our experiences eating tamales. Even though tamales are delicious, the husks or banana leaves leave a lot of mess behind. They tend to leave oils and fat from the tamale that stick to your hands and make it more difficult to unwrap when they are very hot. We were looking for something more practical and less fussy.With our packaging, we have completely gotten rid of the husk or banana leaf and instead use a PFTE tray vacuum-sealed in a BPE-free bag to preserve naturally all the fresh flavors on our tamales. This method of packaging also assures a long shelf life for our tamales.It is also a convenient way to eat a tamale for the people who want a full meal during work or school or are in a rush. You can simply open the bag, take the tray out and either eat it on the tray or flip it onto a plate. No mess left behind!
